Our front yard is the coffee fields mainly and the duplex worker house. Check out the coffee fields and the shade trees above them! We don’t think it will be too difficult the get the Smithsonian Bird Friendly Seal!
The gate made out of extra wood from the old shack. All nicely painted and looking new!
At the top of the road is the entrance to the farm, this is coming down into the property and looking up toward the main entrance from the duplex.
Ricardo our main worker lives in the duplex. We are using the other side apartment when we come for visits. Next year, we will stay in the duplex until our main house is complete. The plan right now is to have the initial grounds broken (pads cut out) in December of 2010!
Some of the coffee fields that were cut back last spring are growing back healthy and very lush. Our growing methods are improving!
More of the coffee jungle!
Hundreds of banana trees along with hardwood shade the coffee.
Some of the hardwood shading the back end of the coffee fields.
The road to the end of the coffee fields, below and a field worker picking coffee. Some of the photos above show you what it is like inside the coffee fields. The front yard is 9 acres + of coffee fields. The back yard is 51 acres of pasture and river front below. Next post down to the river for some fun! Pura Vida!
