The area in which we live not only provides incredible million dollar views, but we are close to Bocas de Torro ( a few hours drive) and San Blas ( a few more hours drive) beaches in Panama on the Caribbean side. Just a short jaunt from Biolley to the border of Costa Rica and Panama. Over the mountains again to the East. Even though Bocas de Torro seems very close to the farm, it seems as if it is another part of the world entirely! Best time of the year to go? Sept. thru Nov. That’s the dry season for this part of the Caribbean.
Bocas de Toro Beach
The plan for us is to be on the farm for tourist season to run the B & B. Dec. thru May. Then in the states from Mid June to Mid Aug. Back on the farm for the coffee harvest. Then a break in Oct. for a month to hang out on the beaches in el “Caribe” for the rainiest month in Biolley to one of the driest months in this part of the Caribbean. We’ll travel by bus and pack lightly wherever we go. I’m beach dreaming today while I wait it out in the states in January to head down to the farm in Mid. Feb. Can’t WAIT to live on the farm! Dream with me and check it out! Here are some spectacular photos to keep you warm during the January jitters in the northern hemisphere!

Time to relax. Colorful Kuna Indian woman in San Blas. The independent Kuna Indians operate several of the tourist areas of San Blas.
A “Mola” design of fish.

That’s it for this blog post! Our new farm in Costa Rica is very close to a different culture and different terrain altogether. Just another reason we are excited to live in a very special part of the world! We can’t wait to visit the islands of Bocas del Toro (very close to our farm) and the San Blas Islands near Panama City! Pura Vida!

I love it Jennifer! We can’t wait to go with you in Feb. to the farm and it is an honor to be your 1st guests.
